As you pull into the Iowa 80 Truckstop, you’re greeted by a sprawling complex that seems to stretch on forever. It’s a testament to the importance of the trucking industry in America, a place where history is celebrated and the future is embraced.
Open 365 days a year, the truck stop never closes its doors to visitors. Whether you’re a trucker, a road tripper, or a curious traveler, you’re always welcome at the crossroads of America.
The first thing you’ll notice is the vast parking area. It’s a sight to behold, with space for up to 900 trucks.
It’s not just about quantity, though. The parking is well-organized and secure, providing peace of mind for drivers who need to rest or refuel. Did I mention the parking is free?

From shiny chrome accessories to high-tech gadgets, it’s a haven for truck enthusiasts. It’s like a candy store, but for truckers. Okay, candy stores are for truckers too, but you know what I mean.
Iowa 80 Gift Shop
No visit to the Iowa 80 Truck Stop is complete without a trip to the gift shop. Personally speaking, gift shops are my passion. Having previously been in merchandising the experience is like looking through another merchandisers brain. This gift shop is a very satisfying collection of apparel, humorous kitchen items, unique souvenirs, trucking memorabilia, and travel essentials.
Pets!
The Iowa 80 is pet friendly. There’s plenty of grass for getting the business done and stretching the legs. I find my dog Thumper loves being in the truck almost as much as he loves being out of the truck and we had enough time here for him to be quite content.
